“Stuck between a rock and a hard hard place, in and out of emptiness and still you rise”

Are there countless numbers of these pictures? Yes. Whether you are browsing the internet, watching the news, reading the headlines, checking your friend’s Facebook status, or perhaps reading some of the recent blogs, it is every where. There is no hiding or ignoring it this time around. There used to be a time when an earthquake or Tsunami would happen once every 100 years, and it would be a  huge deal because it was so rare. Then came a time, not so long ago when these catastrophes became part of our daily lives. Every other day, one country or the other on the planet would be suffering from some sort of natural disaster. There used to be a time when large scale revolutions and protests had become rare too. Now, they seem to be the most controversial and fresh off the stove topic. The ones who are part or have been the victims of these catastrophes and protests pray and hope for the day when the one and only  will come and put an end to it all. The Mahdi. The Krishna. The Buddha. The Christ. who will rule the world and create a Utopia for us all. People who have not been involved in these day to day revolts and disasters feel frustrated but also keep their faith in peaceful days. Regardless of what name you call your Messiah, or if you even believe in one, you keep your hopes and faith strong. It’s part of human nature is it not? To aim for the best? To hope and pray for better days? It is the hope found in every culture, big or small. That’s what keeps the human surviving, right? From the sufferings, the sacrifices, and the fears the human has made it this far all due to his faith in the Almighty and the Mahdi who will shortly arrive. The waiting period has always been the hardest part in any case. Let’s look at day to day waiting periods: You are waiting outside an operation theatre while your beloved is caught between life and death, or you’re waiting for the arrival of someone special at the airport. Every minute goes by as slowly as it possibly can. But when the doctors walk out of the operation room with a smile, or when your special someone is approaching, the heart bounces between excitement and relief. In the waiting periods of even in the small day to day events, we find hope, faith, relief and excitement. The human brain can’t even imagine how excited and relieved the heart will be when the one day he has waited for all his life will arrive. The farther away that day is, the more his faith extends. The closer the day gets, the stronger the faith becomes. But putting aside all of this, the question that arises is…
Are we ready for that significant day?

Some people in our world today
Can dream and wonder why
Some people in our world today
Can only wait to die
Empty my conscience for your love
A bouncing finger lets me know I’m alive
& its still rains outside my window
Still rains outside my window
Some got it bad, some got it worse
Life can sometimes look like a curse
So I cry my heart out, Let it all go
Cuz after every rainfall must come a rainbow.
Some got it bad, some got it worse
Life can sometimes be so absurd
So I cry my heart out Let it all go
Cuz after every rainfall must come a rainbow.
Some people got it bad
Sum people got it worse
Since the day of the birth
Everyday end of earth
Live to die another day
Sure I say “congratulations”
But désolé
If the roof should come down today
Rest assure I’m there to wipe away the dirt with pure intention
Some corrupt
Brought a lil bag of hope
What’s up (?)
I can’t run, I can’t hide
The struggle only makes us stronger tonight
If I don’t find you here
I hope to find you way up there
Some got it bad, some got it worse
Life can sometimes look like a curse
So I cry my heart out, Let it all go
Cuz after every rainfall must come a rainbow.
